The journey of life
can be great for some
but such a bitter pill for others to deal with
We all know that one person
We might be that person
Courage
It's so easy to stop living today,
But it takes real courage
to make it through until tomorrow

One of these days
Today we have higher buildings and wider highways,
but shorter temperaments and narrower points of view
We spend more, but enjoy less
We have bigger houses, but smaller families.
We have more compromises,
but less time.
We have more knowledge, but less judgement.
We have more medicines, but less health.
We have multiplied our possessions,
but reduced our values
We talk much, we love only a little, and we hate too much.
We reached the moon and came back,
but we find it troublesome to cross our own street and meet our neighbors
We have conquered the outer space, but not our inner space.
We have higher income, but less moral
These are times with more liberty, but less joy
With much more food, but less nutrition
These are days in which two salaries come home,
but divorces increase.
These are times of finer houses, but more broken homes.
That’s why I propose that as of today
You do not keep anything for a special occasion,
because every day that you live is a special occasion.
Search for knowledge, read more, sit on your front porch and admire the view without paying attention to the needs.
Pass more time with your family,
eat your favorite food, visit the place you love.
Life is a chain of moments of enjoyment; it isn’t only survival.
Use your crystal goblets. Do not save your best perfume
use it every time you feel you want it.
Take out from your vocabulary phrases like,
“one of these days” and “someday”.
Let’s write that letter we thought of writing “one of these days…”
Let’s tell our families and friends how much we love them.
Never pass up a chance at adding laughter and joy to your life.
Every day, hour, and minute are special…
Because you never know if it will be your last
obstacle to success
Success is to be measured
not so much by
the position that one has reached in life
but
.....by the obstacles which he
has overcome while trying to succeed

God won’t ask
but will ask how many people you drove home who didn't have transportation

Listen
Many have failed to
master the art of listening
to what is being said around them
So quick to put your story out
but yet so slow to take a moment to listen

The sadness of beautiful things
Throughout life people will
make you mad
disrespect you
and treat you bad
Let God deal with the things they do,
because hate in your heart will consume you too

Better to leave it alone
Stay strong and remember
that relationships are like broken glass,
sometimes it’s better to leave it alone,
rather than try to put the pieces back together,
and get hurt all over again.
Remember the times you cried,
and how long it took you to even be able
to look at another guy like that.
When your song comes on the radio,
turn the station off.
When the day comes that he realizes what
a mistake he made and tries calling,
turn your phone off.
When he tries coming to your house,
don’t answer the door.
One day, you’ll find a guy who’s worth all the tears,
but he won’t make you cry.
You may think that you’ll never care about someone like you did,
that guy that you always ran back to,
but you will.
It’s gonna hurt like hell,
and it’s going to need time to heal,
but the point is,
It will heal.
What do you do?

When everything changes within one day?

Don't be a passenger in your own life
Its sad how some women think they can
trade their
own freedom for love and loyalty.
They think by handing over control of their life over to a man,
they will be loved,
taken care of and appreciated in return.
Not knowing that human beings are
selfish and opportunistic creatures by nature,
quick to take advantage of anyone who lets them.
Ladies, don't be a passenger in your own life,
take the wheel, take charge and control.
Don’t be caged like an animal and be told what to do,
where to go,
what to wear,
what to think,
what to believe in,
who to be friends with and all that other crap.
Not all prisons have bars.
Be in a relationship that does
not take away any of your freedoms
you had when you were single.
Be in a relationship that allows you to be you.
Don’t be in a relationship that tries to limit you,
imprison you or change you.
No love in the world is worth sacrificing your freedom and identity for.

little happiness
When an opportunity comes to bring us a little happiness we should not turn it away quickly just because it falls short of a perfect solution.
Because, when we grow old we don't want to carry disappointments and bitterness is our hearts.
So take what life offers;
A gift can come in many different coloured ribbons.
Even if it's not wrapped in your favourite shade it doesn't mean that you won't like what's inside the box.

Perfection
Dear: Who ever
I did not come into this world with the intention to be perfect,
I was never trained to please or to satisfy anyone,
I never really knew what to expect when I came to this world at first all people had for me is love now I get hurt than never before,
it took me sometime to realize how things work.
To be perfect is not my dream
but its what I work to become everyday just take me as I am
and with you knowing my faults and me
knowing your faults perfection is not that far.

Essence of trust is not in its bind
The father was kind of scared so he asked his little daughter:
"Sweetheart, please hold my hand so that you don't fall into the river."

"What's the difference?" Asked the puzzled father.
"There's a big difference," replied the little girl.
"If I hold your hand and something happens to me, chances are that I may let your hand go. But if you hold my hand, I know for sure that no matter what happens, you will never let my hand go."
In any relationship, the essence of trust is not in its bind, but in its bond.

I am Thankful
For the wife
who says it's hot dogs tonight,
because she is home with me,
and not out with someone else.
For the husband
who is on the sofa
being a couch potato,
because he is home with me
and not out at the bars.
For the teenager
who is complaining about doing dishes
because it means she is at home,
not on the streets.
For the taxes i pay
because it means
i am employed.
For the mess to clean after a party
because it means i have
been surrounded by friends.
For the clothes that fit a little too snug
because it means
i have enough to eat.
For my shadow that watches me work
because it means
i am out in the sunshine
For a lawn that needs mowing,
windows that need cleaning,
and gutters that need fixing
because it means i have a home.
For all the complaining
i hear about the government
because it means
we have freedom of speech..
For the parking spot
i find at the far end of the parking lot
because it means i am capable of walking
and i have been blessed with transportation.
For my huge heating bill
because it means
i am warm.
For the pile of laundry and ironing
because it means
i have clothes to wear.
For weariness and aching muscles
at the end of the day
because it means i have been
capable of working hard.
For the alarm that goes off
in the early morning hours
because it means i am alive.

End up same place we started
Just cause someone steers us wrong
Don't mean we no longer have the wheel.
To change your direction life,
we need to change our point of veiw.
And other times, we just need to stop while were ahead,
before we end up at the same place as we started.
